According to Iran’s concrete regulations, accelerator concrete admixture is one of the types of concrete chemical admixtures. These materials are used to increase the speed of the water absorption process in concrete. In fact, these materials increase the rate of cement hydration reactions and this action makes the initial setting period of concrete faster.

Accelerator for unreinforced concrete and mortar
These products have been developed as completely economic and effective accelerators to accelerate the setting and hardening process of unreinforced concrete and mortar. Accelerators of unreinforced concrete and mortar are used in solution form. The mechanism of action of these products is such that by accelerating the hydration reactions of the leading phases (especially C3A) of cement, they shorten the setting time of concrete and by lowering the level of water saturation inside the concrete, they prevent it from freezing.

Accelerator of sprayed concrete
Accelerator admixtures of shotcrete are used to accelerate initial setting or instant setting of shotcrete. These admixtures improve the compressive strength of the early ages, adhesion, reduce the shrinkage of concrete from the surface and resistance to freezing.These materials in the process of dry shotcrete, while reducing material shrinkage, lead to a reduction in the amount of dust and an increase in premature resistance. In the spraying process, fast setting and early resistance are reasons for using these products.The main application of accelerator admixtures for shotcrete is: shotcrete is for stabilizing slopes and excavations, lining tunnels and excavations.
